DESIGNATIONS AND REFERENCES TO TERRITORIES

The IGP wines from our large area are 100% made from the territory.
The designation produced throughout the territory is IGP Méditerranée.
The other designations name the department where they were produced.

Consequently, you will see IGPs from: Ardèche, Drôme, Pays des Bouches du Rhône, Vaucluse.

But there are also designations referring to the local geography, such as Alpilles, Collines rhodaniennes, Coteaux des Baronnies.

Last but not least come designations aiming to introduce even smaller areas of production, referring by name to a specific territory with which they are closely connected. Such references are called “mentions territoriales”, or territorial references.
